Flash Interactive In-Store Kiosk
client: Merrell Footwear & Apparel
description: This is a great project!!! Sleek, animated, informative, and most of all, FUN!!! It will house videos, live site and customer registration. It's Flash and Xml based that will, yet again, write us out of the 'maintenance' equation... ;-) . That's okay. We build them smart, so our clients receive the best value. We're still in development so stay tuned for a glimpse.
Flash Interactive Map
client: Wolverine Worldwide
description: This was built in Flash using Xml as a data source. This enabled the client to add, delete, or modify any listing. Y2 Creative created all the graphic elements including icons below that matched the brand's current style.
Flash Interactive Website
client: TwoFiveSixMusic.com
description: This was built in Flash using Xml as a data source. The client is able to add, delete, or edit what videos to play as background imagery and background music. Flash and Video mesh well together and provide great artistic background imagery for a band that had so few words to plant on a website. It's simple, yet captivating to watch.
Flash Interactive Video Player
client: Steelcase c/o Waterfall Productions
description: This was built in Flash using Xml as a data source. Waterfall Productions designed this flash-based video player and flash animation, and Y2 creative handled the heavier programming. This functions as one of Steelcase's E-Learning tools. It gives the sales force an opportunity to view leading sales mentors. In addition, users can download PowerPoint presentations for each video, Mp3 files, and video files for off-line playback on portable media devices.
Flash Interactive Audio Player
client: Grand Rapids Community Media Center
description: WYCE premiered a new program featuring Grand Rapids's local music scene. They wanted listeners to be able to access a library of archived shows and also highlight 'this weeks' show as well. It's dynamic and connects to data via Xml. But most importantly, thanks to the ninja-like programming skills of Aron(WYCE), we managed to use Flash's Javascript API to control the player.
Flash Interactive Resource CD-Rom
client: Quixtar c/o Waterfall Productions
description: Quixtar Marketing approached Waterfall Productions to help them develop a CD presentation that would set a new standard and deliver information to their IBOs (Independent Business Owners). Given Flash's limitations for displaying external content such as Pdfs and web browsing, Y2 Creative provided the guidance for programming a solution.
Chad Ritsema(Waterfall Productions) delivered this top notch creative user experience that is fun and intuitive. The CD plays on multiple formats (MAC and PC).
Flash Interactive Resource CD-Rom
client: X-Rite c/o Redthread Communications
description: This was built in Flash and Zinc, using Xml as a data source. X-Rite needed a sales resource tool that would contain a library of data, images, and video. The user can read articles(thanks to Flash Paper), view product images, and even install software. Everything they view on the CD-Rom are also 'downloadable' from the disk, to the user's desktop. With this tool, a sales person can effortlessly read, download, and email documents to potential clients.
The application was built using Xml as the data source. Thus enabling additions or deletions of documents as well as multi-language capabilities.
Flash Interactive Resource DVD-Rom
client: Priority Health c/o Structure Interactive
description: Priority Health's Cycling Team media kit DVD. This is a Flash based application that holds hi-res brand images and information for media use. Zinc was used to enable more functionality than Flash would alone. This is an oldie, but a goody from back in my SI days.
Web Site
client: ImpactExecSearch.net
description: This website was created using Html, Php and MySql for dynamic content. Y2 creative designed the frontend and then programmed the backend site that collects and stores web content into a database. We implemented the TinyMCE Javascript WYSIWYG editor for simplifed Html edits. The client wanted the ability to upload files and create news articles and job listings.
Flash Interactive Map
client: Nurture by Steelcase c/o Waterfall Productions
description: This map launched for the Neocon 2007 conference. It was built using Flash and displayed Nurture's showroom at Merchandise Mart in Chicago. It lived on the Steelcase.com site and has recently been put to rest as the 2008 version has replaced it.
Flash Animation
client: Steelcase University c/o Waterfall Productions
description: Steelcase University requested an animated character for their Lab Solutions E-Learning module. They specifically asked for a microscope to bounce around and highlight particular areas of the on-line tutorial. They were very pleased with this little guy. His eyes track mouse movement and intermittently shouts out a silent 'click me!'.
Flash E-Learning Interactive
client: Steelcase University c/o Waterfall Productions
description: This project was an update of an earlier version of a new employee orientation online tutorial. In a broad sense, the update consisted of textual edits. However, sometimes it gets a bit tricky when delving into another person's fortress of code. eh hem.... Waterfall Productions initially staked claim on this project, but soon found that it needed a little Y2 luv'n so to speak. The most challenging part of this project was solving many programming mysteries and outdated coding. It was a great example of Xml and Flash before Flash was so Xml friendly. Admittedly though, I did learn one or two tricks from the experience.
Special Note to whomever has reached...
the bottom of this page.... and for a little more description...
We are located in the fabulous town of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Go White Caps! However, we are more than happy to talk to anyone outside this big little town. You'll find us chatting away at a local pub or cafe, trying NOT to talk about 'WORK'. But our doddering attempts only demonstrate the passion for what we do. We are a truly lucky group; blessed with making a living with 'WORK' we love to do. It's a rockstar's dream... ;-)
